Making the Most of Right Now

Hey friends,

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”

It’s such a simple idea, right? But if you’re anything like me, you know how hard it can be to live by.

How many times have I gotten stuck waiting for the “perfect” moment? Telling myself I’ll start working on that goal when I have more time, more money, or more experience. Or convincing myself that I need to fix everything in my life before I can move forward.

Spoiler alert: the perfect moment? It doesn’t exist.

This quote reminds me that life doesn’t wait for perfection. It happens here, now, in the messiness of whatever situation you’re in. And honestly? That’s where the magic is.

For me, this has shown up in so many ways. When I first decided to pursue a big dream, I didn’t have everything figured out (and I still don’t!). But I’ve learned that waiting for all the pieces to fall into place is just another way of staying stuck. Sometimes, you have to start with what you’ve got—even if it doesn’t feel like enough—and trust that the rest will come.

Doing what you can, with what you have, where you are, isn’t about settling. It’s about being resourceful. It’s about recognizing the tools, strengths, and opportunities you already have and choosing to use them, even if it feels like they’re not enough.

And you know what? Those small, imperfect steps add up. They create momentum. They teach you what works and what doesn’t. And before you know it, you’re further along than you ever thought you’d be.

Think about it: What’s one thing you’ve been putting off because you feel like you’re not ready yet? Is there a way you can start today, even if it’s small? Maybe it’s writing the first paragraph of that book you’ve been dreaming about. Or making one phone call toward a goal. Or even just taking five minutes to reflect on what matters most to you.

Life isn’t about having everything perfectly in place before you begin. It’s about starting where you are, using what you’ve got, and trusting that the journey will teach you what you need to know.

So, what’s one step you can take today? It doesn’t have to be big or flashy—it just has to be yours. Let’s talk in the comments, or message me if you’d rather share privately. I’d love to hear what you’re working on and how you’re choosing to show up with what you have right now.

Thanks for being here with me today. Here’s to making the most of today, with all its beautiful imperfection.

Until next time,
Marjoly 🌿
