Changing My World from the Inside Out

Hey friends,

Can you believe that I just heard about Plutarch? There’s this particular quote that caught my attention, it goes like this:

“What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality.”

At first, it sounds almost too simple, right? Like, “Oh sure, let me just meditate my problems away.” But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much truth is packed into those few words.

For the longest time, I thought that changing my life meant changing my circumstances. If I moved somewhere new, got the right job, made more money—then I’d feel better. But every time I reached one of those milestones, I’d look around and realize that nothing had really shifted inside me. I was still carrying the same doubts, the same fears, the same restlessness.

And that’s when it hit me: the real work isn’t about fixing the outside. It’s about transforming what’s going on inside.

For me, that’s looked like learning how to be honest with myself—about what I want, what I fear, and what I need to let go of. It’s about unpacking the beliefs I’ve been carrying, like the idea that I have to be perfect to be worthy or that I need to have everything figured out to start.

One of the biggest things I’ve been working on is trusting myself. For so long, I looked outside for validation, waiting for someone or something to tell me I was on the right path. But the truth is, the more I’ve focused on building that trust inwardly, the more my outer reality has started to reflect it. I feel more confident in my decisions, more willing to take risks, and more at peace with the unknown.

And isn’t that what Plutarch is saying? That when you shift your inner world, the outer world starts to fall into place.

Here’s an example: I’ve been working hard on creating stability in my life—not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually too. Instead of panicking about what I don’t have or what’s not working, I’ve been trying to focus inward. I remind myself of what I’ve already achieved, of the resilience I’ve built, and of the fact that I’ve made it through every challenge so far.

And you know what? That shift in mindset has started to show up in my outer world. I’m noticing new opportunities, new connections, and even just a sense of ease that wasn’t there before. It’s like the universe is saying, “Oh, you’re ready now? Cool, let’s get started.”

So, here’s my takeaway: if you want to change your outer reality, start with your inner world. Ask yourself, What do I need to heal? What do I need to let go of? What do I need to believe about myself to create the life I want?

It’s not about fixing everything overnight. It’s about taking one small step at a time—choosing to see yourself differently, to trust yourself more, to believe that you’re capable of creating something amazing.

And the best part? You don’t have to do it perfectly. Growth is messy. Healing is messy. But every bit of effort you put into yourself will ripple out into your world in ways you can’t even imagine.

So, what’s one thing you can do today to work on your inner world? Maybe it’s journaling about something you’ve been avoiding. Maybe it’s taking five minutes to sit in silence and just be. Or maybe it’s as simple as reminding yourself, “I’ve got this.”

Whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s talk in the comments or shoot me a message—I want to know how you’re transforming your inner world.

Thanks for being here with me today. Let’s keep growing, healing, and creating beautiful lives from the inside out.

Until next time,
Marjoly 🌿
